Tengenenge is a typical African village in the North of Zimbabwe, at the foot of the Great Dyke. The difference with other villages is the occupation of the inhabitants: they all make a living from sculpting. The village is an open-air gallery, and they have a museum showcasing the history of stone sculpture in Zimbabwe. Sculptures can be bought onsite then shipped, or they can be custom made with prior arrangement with the sculptors. They also have accommodation options onsite, ranging from camping to rustic lodges.
